Job Type: Part-Time / Independent Contractor (Starting at ~10 hours/week, with room to grow to 20-40 hours)
Location: Remote (Global applicants welcome; must have overlap with US time zones)
About Us We're a fast-growing SEO agency focused on the future of search: AI. We use AI across all of our operations and run on complete transparency. Our task management lives in Notion, and we invite clients directly into our workspace so they can see our work, progress, and internal conversations as they happen.
We're a supportive team that understands mistakes happen, but we expect everyone to take radical ownership of their work. If you want a place with real room to grow, this is it.
The Role Our web dev lead Hana has more page builds queued up than she can handle on her own. We're looking for a Design-Focused WordPress Developer to work alongside her and take the lead on building new pages from finalized content.
Here's how our process works. Every page starts as a Google Doc. The words are locked in before anyone opens a page builder. Your job starts there. You'll take the finalized Doc, study the client's existing website, and build a page that fits their look and feel at the standard Hana sets (or higher).
We don't build Figma mockups. All the design decisions happen live as you're building the page, usually in Elementor, sometimes in Gutenberg or another builder. We need someone with the taste and experience to make those calls on the fly without a separate design phase.
This role is for someone who can be given a goal and figure out the rest without handholding. We tell you what the page needs to accomplish, point you at the client's site, and you ship something we're proud to publish.
Key Responsibilities
- Turn finalized Google Docs into fully designed WordPress pages that match (or exceed) the look and feel of the client's existing site
- Make design decisions independently during the build rather than waiting on mockups or direction
- Work primarily in Elementor, with some Gutenberg and other builders as needed
- Study each client's existing site to understand their design system, then apply it to new pages so nothing looks out of place
- Communicate directly with clients when needed, in plain English
- Work openly inside our client-facing Notion workspace
Requirements
- Deep WordPress and Elementor Experience: You've built a lot of pages and you know these tools cold
- A Real Design Eye: You can look at a website and understand what makes it feel cohesive, then replicate that instinct on a new page without a template to copy
- Self-Directed: You don't need detailed instructions. Give you a goal and you execute
- Client-Facing Experience: Previous agency or client-facing work is strongly preferred
- Responsiveness: Reply to communications within 12 hours
- Schedule: You don't need to be based in the US, but your working hours must overlap with US time zones
- Accountability: You take ownership of your work, your successes, and your mistakes
- Tech-Forward: Comfortable working in Notion and using AI tools to move faster
- (Bonus, higher pay) Shopify Experience: Some of our web work is on Shopify. Experience there unlocks a higher rate.
To Apply Send your resume and a portfolio or set of links showing pages you've designed and built in WordPress. Include a short note about a page you're especially proud of and why.
Bonus points to anyone who emails me with a Loom video introducing themself.
