Job Summary

We are looking for a Web Designer who can take a brief, shape it into clear Figma designs, then build those designs in WordPress without relying on templates. You should be able to handle UX thinking, layout decisions, and front end build with confidence.

About the Agency

We are a small Midlands-based, fully remote agency that has been trading for 25 years. Despite our size, we consistently work at a higher level than many larger teams. Our portfolio includes AliExpress, City of London Corporation, Canterbury Cathedral, The Design Museum, Engel & Völkers and other well known names. You’ll have the chance to produce work for respected organisations like these and more.

We want someone who is keen to learn, sharpen their skills and progress. If you like improving your craft and taking on more responsibility over time, you’ll fit in well.

You’ll also be set up properly. We provide a powerful Mac, the software you need and a straightforward working culture that values getting the work done without nonsense.

What you’ll do

• Turn client briefs into tidy Figma layouts
• Produce UI components, simple design systems and page flows
• Build your own designs in WordPress using custom themes, not pre-built templates
• Work with ACF, Gutenberg blocks and solid front end structure
• Handle small interactions, animations and responsive behaviour

Experience

• Strong Figma skills
• Good understanding of UX and clean interface layout
• Confident building custom WordPress themes
• Good knowledge of ACF, Gutenberg and general WP standards
• Solid HTML, CSS and basic PHP
• Ability to work without hand-holding

Nice to have

• Agency experience
• Comfortable showing your work to clients
