KALEIDOSCOPE AI

We're Hiring

Web Designer (WordPress + Elementor)

Part-Time (Growth to Full-Time)  |  Remote  |  International Contract  |  Reports to Karen Tapia, Director of Project Management

About Kaleidoscope AI

Kaleidoscope AI builds KAL, the AI growth system for orthodontic and dental practices. We don't just build websites. We build websites that are designed to be found, cited, and recommended by AI search engines, voice assistants, and traditional search. Every site we produce follows a structured framework that combines high-end design with SEO | AEO optimization and ADA accessibility compliance. We are a small, fast-moving virtual team that delivers real results for real practices.

The Role

We need a designer who can make websites look exceptional while building them to strict technical standards. You will design and build WordPress sites using Elementor Pro for orthodontic and dental practices, working within the KAL growth system framework. Some builds will be fully custom. Others will be semi-custom, built from approved layouts and adapted to the client's brand. The mix depends on workflow demands, and you need to be comfortable with both.

You will also edit and update existing client websites based on KAL AI readiness audit recommendations. When an audit identifies design, content, or structural gaps that affect AI visibility, you will be the one implementing those changes. This means you need to understand why the design decisions matter, not just how to execute them.

You will work alongside other virtual designers and coordinate with a Website Project Manager who owns the timeline. Your job is the craft: layout, typography, responsiveness, accessibility, and the visual quality that makes a practice look like the best choice in their market.

This is a part-time contract position with a clear path to full-time as Kaleidoscope AI's client base grows. This is a virtual position that requires strong self-management, organization, and the discipline to meet deadlines independently.

What You'll Do

  • Design modern, polished website layouts with strong visual hierarchy, typography, spacing, and color systems
  • Build responsive, accessible pages in WordPress using Elementor Pro (containers, global styles, clean backend structure)
  • Execute both custom and semi-custom site builds depending on project scope and workflow
  • Implement design updates on existing client sites based on KAL audit findings and recommendations
  • Design with ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliance from the start: proper color contrast, keyboard navigation, screen-reader compatibility, and alt text
  • Apply SEO | AEO design principles including structured layouts, heading hierarchy, and content organization that supports AI discoverability
  • Add motion effects, hover states, and subtle interactions where appropriate without sacrificing page speed
  • Translate client brand identities into engaging digital experiences that feel fresh and distinct (not templated)
  • Collaborate with the project management team and other designers to resolve UX or design challenges efficiently
  • Maintain clean, scalable backend structures that allow for easy team handoff and future updates

What You Bring (Required)

  • A strong portfolio of live WordPress websites we can test (not just mockups or concepts)
  • Solid experience building in WordPress with Elementor Pro
  • A refined design eye with demonstrated ability to create layouts that look premium, intentional, and varied across projects
  • Understanding of responsive design principles across devices
  • Working knowledge of SEO-friendly design structures (heading hierarchy, content flow, image optimization)
  • Awareness of accessible design principles (experience with ADA compliance in the US market is preferred; training will be provided)
  • Clear written and verbal English communication skills
  • Proven ability to work independently in a remote/virtual environment with strong self-management and time discipline
  • Comfort staying organized across multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Willingness to learn and adopt AI-powered tools and workflows (training provided)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) or Figma
  • Familiarity with UX/UI best practices
  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS for troubleshooting or custom adjustments
  • Experience in healthcare, dental, or orthodontic marketing
  • HubSpot CRM experience

What Success Looks Like

  • Websites that launch cleanly, accurately, and accessibly with minimal rework
  • Designs that feel thoughtful and on-brand, with enough variety across clients that no two sites look like the same template
  • Audit-driven site updates are implemented correctly and on schedule
  • Consistent delivery across multiple concurrent projects
  • Strong collaboration with project managers and other designers on the virtual team

Tools You'll Use

  • WordPress with Elementor Pro for site builds.
  • Asana for project management.
  • Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail) for collaboration.
  • HubSpot CRM for client tracking.
  • AI-powered tools and automation (training and support provided).

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive hourly contract rate (paid in USD)
  • Part-time to start, with availability to grow into a full-time position as workflow increases
  • Paid time off after a 3-month evaluation period, plus company holidays
  • Growth opportunities as Kaleidoscope AI scales
