About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled and creative Video Editor who can produce both long-form and short-form content across multiple platforms. This role requires a blend of technical editing ability, storytelling, and adaptability—someone who can work with and without AI tools to create engaging, high-quality videos. You will be reporting to teams in Karachi and Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit and produce long-form videos (YouTube, courses, documentaries, etc.) and short-form content (TikTok, Reels, Shorts)
• Conduct research to develop compelling video topics and content ideas
• Write clear, engaging scripts tailored to each platform and audience
• Create and integrate AI-generated voiceovers and audio when required
• Edit videos both with AI-assisted tools and through traditional editing workflows
• Add graphics, subtitles, sound effects, and music to enhance viewer engagement
• Optimize content for different platforms, formats, and audience retention
• Collaborate on content strategy and creative direction

Requirements:

• Proven experience in video editing (portfolio required)
• Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and audience engagement
• Experience with editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar)
• Familiarity with AI tools for video/audio generation (e.g., text-to-speech, AI video tools)
• Ability to create content without reliance on AI tools when needed
• Strong research and scriptwriting skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects
• Strong verbal and written English skills

Nice to Have:

• Motion graphics or animation skills
• Experience creating viral or high-performing social media content
• Understanding of SEO and content optimization for YouTube or social platforms
