Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a UX/UI Designer. The UX/UI Designer will be responsible for creating intuitive user experiences and visually appealing interfaces that align with the platform’s mission. Tasks include designing mockups, wireframes, and prototypes, using user research methods to improve design decisions, and collaborating with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs. The designer will play a pivotal role in shaping the app’s gamified and culturally rich user experience.
Qualifications
- Visual Design and User Interface Design skills to create appealing and functional user interfaces
- Experience with Mockups and Wireframes to communicate design concepts effectively
- Proficiency in User Experience (UX) principles to design intuitive and user-centered interfaces
- Ability to collaborate with Front-End Development teams to ensure the accurate implementation of designs
- Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in creating engaging user experiences
- Passion for cultural topics and familiarity with African languages, traditions, and customs is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent experience
