UX Designer (Figma + UI)

Job Summary

We are looking for a UX Designer who can take a brief, turn it into clear and thoughtful Figma designs and produce clean user journeys. You should be confident with layout, hierarchy and structure. Front end experience is a bonus, but not required.

This role is centred on UX and UI. If you enjoy solving flow problems, creating intuitive layouts and producing designs that developers can build without headaches, you’ll fit well.

About the Agency

We are a small Midlands-based, fully remote agency that has been trading for 25 years. Despite our size, we consistently work at a higher level than many larger teams. Our portfolio includes AliExpress, City of London Corporation, Canterbury Cathedral, The Design Museum, Engel & Völkers and other well known names. You’ll get the chance to design for organisations that expect thoughtful, well structured work.

We want someone who is keen to learn, sharpen their skills and progress. If you care about your craft and want to grow, you’ll enjoy the environment.

You’ll also be set up properly. We provide a powerful Mac, the software you need and a straightforward working culture that values getting the work done without fuss.

Duties

  • Turn client briefs into clear wireframes and tidy Figma layouts
  • Create user flows, page structures and component systems
  • Produce UI elements that are simple for developers to build
  • Contribute to design systems where needed
  • Present design decisions clearly to the team and clients
  • Work with developers to ensure your designs are implemented correctly
  • Optional: support small front end tweaks if you have the skills

Experience

  • Proven experience in digital design with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in web design, UX, UI, and interaction design.
  • Strong Figma skills
  • Good understanding of UX principles and interface layout
  • Ability to produce clean, structured design files developers can follow
  • Basic understanding of how front end build works so your designs are practical
  • Ability to work independently

Nice to have

  • Experience in small agencies
  • Basic HTML/CSS knowledge
  • Comfortable showing your work to clients

What we’re looking for

  • Someone who sees design as their main craft and enjoys shaping interfaces
  • A designer who can show recent UX and UI work they created themselves
  • Someone happy to share links to projects, prototypes or Figma files
  • A person who works well independently and keeps things moving
  • Someone who wants to learn, improve and take feedback without fuss

Please note

We are not working with staffing agencies, recruiters or advertising services for this role. If you contact us on behalf of an agency, we will not be responding. We are handling the hiring process ourselves.

Remember! Please send examples of your work to be considered :)
