Pavé is a youth-led initiative recognized as one of the Top 30 Youth Projects in Canada. Our mission is to reconnect communities by giving residents a voice in local projects, supporting nonprofits, and fostering social belonging. Through our app, we provide a hub for community infrastructure ideas, local art perspectives, and grassroots fundraising initiatives. As our pilot program grows, we’ll continue adding features to strengthen community connections.

Role Description

This is a volunteer role for a non-profit organization. We’re looking for a User Experience (UX) Designer to join our remote team. In this role, you’ll conduct user research, design and test prototypes, and refine visual design elements. You’ll collaborate closely with our development team, applying design thinking principles to create intuitive and engaging user experiences that truly meet the needs of our app users.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the development team to define and enhance the user journey
• Translate ideas into clear user flows, wireframes, and prototypes
• Design seamless, thoughtful experiences that guide users through the platform with clarity and impact
• Ensure Pavé is not only functional, but also intuitive and meaningful for our community

Qualifications

• Proven experience in UX design for web or mobile applications
• Strong skills in creating user flows, wireframes, and prototypes
• Ability to design engaging, user-centered experiences
• Proficiency with Figma
