About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior User Experience Designer to join our Higher Education team. In this pivotal leadership role, you will be responsible for shaping the user experience across a variety of digital platforms and learning tools. Your expertise will guide the design of innovative study solutions and educational technologies that directly influence how learners and institutions interact with our products. You will lead the development of user-centered design strategies, ensuring our offerings are intuitive, accessible, and engaging. As a mentor to junior designers, you will help elevate the overall quality of our design team while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to align design efforts with business goals. This remote position is open to applicants authorized to work within the United States and offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the future of education technology.

Qualifications

  • BA/BFA degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5-7+ years of professional UX design experience, demonstrating growth toward senior-level responsibilities.
  • Proven experience designing complex digital solutions for web and mobile platforms.
  • At least 2 years of leadership or mentoring experience within a design team.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in designing complex systems and cross-platform user experiences.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Experience creating intuitive, functional, and accessible user interfaces for consumer-facing digital applications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of UX design strategies for innovative educational solutions and study tools.
  • Design engaging, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces that meet the needs of learners and educational institutions.
  • Drive user-centered design principles throughout the product development lifecycle to ensure usability and accessibility.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to align design efforts with business objectives and technical feasibility.
  • Contribute to the overall UX vision, ensuring consistency and quality across all platforms and products.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform design decisions and improve user experiences.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into our platforms.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to accessibility standards and best practices for inclusive design.
