About TeamUp
TeamUp is a social sports platform designed to help people connect and play sports in real life. Instead of endless scrolling, TeamUp helps users find players, host matches, and build real communities through sports.
The platform is built around features like player matchmaking, event hosting, team challenges, and ranking systems that gamify recreational sports.
TeamUp has already raised capital and is preparing for its next launch as we expand the platform and grow the design and product team.
About the Role
We are looking for UX/UI Design Interns who are passionate about building intuitive and engaging mobile products.
As a design intern at TeamUp, you will work directly with the founder and development team to help design and improve the user experience of the platform. This is an opportunity to gain real startup product design experience and contribute to a live product preparing for launch.
What You’ll Work On
• Designing mobile UX flows for core features
• Creating wireframes and high-fidelity UI in Figma
• Improving user journeys for player matchmaking and event hosting
• Collaborating with developers to translate designs into product features
• Helping refine the visual design system of the app
• Contributing ideas for improving usability and engagement
Examples of product areas you may work on include:
• Player swiping and matchmaking
• Sports event discovery
• Profile and ranking systems
• Team creation and team challenges
• Social sports community features
We’re looking for designers who are:
• Strong in Figma wireframing and UI design
• Interested in mobile product design
• Passionate about startups and building real products
• Comfortable thinking about user experience and product flows
• Curious, creative, and eager to learn
Bonus if you:
• Have worked on app interfaces before
• Have a portfolio of mobile UI work
• Enjoy sports or community-driven platforms
