Company Description
Blocrate is building the credit layer for DeFi. Privacy-preserving, AI-powered, protocol-agnostic. We are not here to make incremental improvements to how on-chain lending works. We are here to rebuild the infrastructure from scratch.
We are a small, obsessive team that moves fast and builds things that did not exist before us. If you are the kind of person who obsesses over a 1px misalignment, who studies how Stripe and Plaid built trust through design, who thinks interfaces should feel like they were inevitable rather than designed, you belong here. We want people who treat every pixel like it matters, because at this level, it does.
This is not a place for people who push pixels on request. This is a place for people who own the experience end to end.
Role Description
This is a remote, full-time position for a UI/UX Designer at Blocrate. You will design the core product experience for an SDK that gets embedded inside third-party DeFi applications. That means wallet connection flows, credit score displays, risk band visualisations, transaction panels, and every state in between: loading, empty, error, success. You will build a modular component library and design system that works across light and dark modes, adapts to flexible container sizes, and feels fintech-grade from the first interaction. The design references are Stripe Elements, Plaid, and Nansen. You will work directly with the founders and engineering team to shape how Blocrate looks and feels everywhere it shows up. This is early stage, pre-seed, equity-heavy, high ownership.
Qualifications
- Strong portfolio demonstrating product design work, ideally for developer tools, fintech, or data-heavy applications
- Deep understanding of design systems and component-based thinking
- Proficiency in Figma
- Experience designing modular, embeddable UI components (SDK, widget, or plugin design is a strong plus)
- Ability to design for complex data: scores, metrics, risk visualisations, financial dashboards
- Understanding of UX flows involving wallet connection, authentication, and multi-step transactions
- Strong grasp of visual hierarchy, typography, spacing, and interaction design
- Experience designing for both light and dark mode and responsive layouts
- Familiarity with Web3, DeFi, or blockchain products is a plus but not required if you learn fast
- We are also open to freshers and students. If your portfolio shows taste, attention to detail, and the ability to think in systems, we want to see it. We care about how you think, not how many years you have been doing it. Bring the fire.
