US Traffic Planner (Traffic Management Designer)

Position: Traffic Planner 

 

Job Purpose: 

Production of traffic management plans and services that comply with traffic management legislation and that meet the requirements of our clients.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with in-house planners to establish the specific requirements of traffic management plans.

  • The production of traffic guidance schemes, traffic management plans and traffic control plans in accordance with client specific requirements and in accordance with traffic management guidelines.

  • Other duties as determined by the Planning and Projects Manager to facilitate the organizational requirements of the company.

  • Compliance with the company Business Management System.

  • Conduct appropriate transport/traffic surveys and interviews, and process data results.

  • Analyze and interpret data gathered from statistics, surveys and transport studies.

  • Liaise with clients on plan and permit requirements.

  • Planning approval from Project Managers, Councils & Road Authorities.

  • Manage traffic plan variations, re-submissions and amendments.

  • Coordinate project Road Safety Audits (RSA) when necessary.

  • Attach all relevant documentation to application and job packs for all works (planning and operational).

  • Will support projects across the states of Oregon and Washington

Qualifications:

  • Possess a genuine willingness to learn, be intuitive, and resourceful, and be coachable

  • Possess an upbeat, positive and enthusiastic attitude

  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills

  • Confident, self-starter who works well independently

  • Must be highly self-motivated

  • Professional phone etiquette

  • Efficient with Invarion (Rapid Plan)

  • Expertise in traffic control planning for Oregon and Washington is required
