Role Description
This is a
remote unpaid internship
role for a
UI/UX Design Intern
. The intern will assist in designing user-centered digital experiences for web and mobile applications. Responsibilities include supporting design workflows, creating wireframes and prototypes, conducting UX research, and collaborating closely with the product and development teams. This role is an opportunity to gain practical experience, build your portfolio, and work in a creative and evolving environment.
Responsibilities
- User Research & Analysis: Assist in understanding user needs through surveys, interviews, analytics, and competitor research.
- Wireframing & Prototyping: Create user flow diagrams, wireframes, and interactive prototypes using tools like Figma or Adobe XD.
- UI Design: Support in designing clean, modern, and responsive interfaces that align with product goals and brand guidelines.
- Usability Testing: Participate in testing prototypes, documenting feedback, and suggesting UI/UX improvements.
- Design Documentation: Prepare design assets, style guides, and component documentation to support developers and maintain consistency.
- Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure a seamless design-to-development handoff.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with design trends, UX research practices, and usability standards.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in UI/UX Design, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Interaction Design, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Understanding of UX principles, design thinking, wireframing, and prototyping.
- Familiarity with user research methods, usability testing, and accessibility best practices (preferred but not required).
- Strong creativity, attention to detail, and passion for crafting meaningful user experiences.
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly and work both independently and in a collaborative remote team environment.
- Bonus: Exposure to front-end fundamentals (HTML/CSS/React/Flutter) is an advantage but not required.
