We’ve been building for over a year and are looking for a creative and driven UI/UX Designer to help shape the next generation of startup education and community experiences.
Role Overview
As a UI/UX Designer, you will play a key role in shaping the look, feel, and usability of the StartHub platform. You will work closely with the product and engineering teams to design intuitive and engaging experiences for our web and mobile platforms.
This role is equity-only to start, with a clear path to a full-time role as we grow. Ideal for someone who enjoys building from the ground up and wants to have a direct impact on product direction.
What You’ll Do
- Design intuitive and visually engaging experiences for our web and mobile platforms
- Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to bring ideas to life
- Help develop and maintain a scalable design system
- Improve user onboarding, usability, and engagement
- Contribute to shaping the overall design direction and brand identity
- Iterate on designs based on user feedback and product needs
What We’re Looking For
- 3 years of experience in UI/UX or product design
- Strong portfolio showcasing modern UI/UX design work
- Proficiency with Figma or similar design tools
- Solid understanding of responsive and interactive design principles
- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
- A proactive mindset and passion for building products from the ground up
Compensation & Timeline
Equity: 0.25% company equity granted under our standard equity package (4-year vesting schedule with a 1-year cliff)
Future Compensation
- As the platform begins generating revenue, we plan to introduce bonuses prior to funding.
- After funding, a one-time bonus will be provided for covering the hours contributed prior to funding.
- After funding, the role is expected to transition into a paid position with compensation between $40–$100 per hour, based on seniority, experience, and overall impact on the product and company growth.
Equity Protection: Shares are legally protected through a Restricted Stock Purchase Agreement (RSPA)
