Job Description

We are seeking an innovative and talented UI/UX Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a creative and analytical problem-solver who can translate complex user requirements into intuitive, functional, and visually appealing digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather user requirements in collaboration with stakeholders, product managers, and engineers.
  • Ability to adhere to client graphic standards and brand guidelines or help define design and brand guidelines for the client.
  • Conduct user research occasionally to understand user behaviors, needs, motivations, and pain points.
  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps.
  • Create low-fidelity wireframes that outline the basic structure and layout of the product.
  • Design a visually appealing interface by selecting appropriate color palettes, typography, icons, and other graphic elements.
  • Create UI mockups using Figma and high-fidelity prototypes that demonstrate the final look and feel of the product.
  • Develop and maintain design systems and style guides to ensure visual consistency across all products, including internal templates such as infographics, presentations, etc.
  • Conduct usability tests and other user tests to gather feedback and validate design decisions.
  • Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback and test results.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and marketers, throughout the design process.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Has a degree in either of the following: Information Technology, Computer Science, Multimedia Arts, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a UI/UX Designer or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing design projects.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design (UCD) principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
  • Proficiency in mockup design software tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe tools (Adobe XD, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
  • Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail.
  • Experience with user research, usability testing, and interpreting user feedback.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to articulate design decisions effectively with various stakeholders, especially using the English Language.
  • Time management and organization skills, with the ability to prioritize projects across multiple clients.

Nice to Haves:

  • Familiarity with fundamental building blocks of the web, such as HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with content management systems such as WordPress or Webflow is a plus.
  • Strong documentation, technical writing, and project management skills are a plus but not required.

Contract Type: Part-time (10 hrs/week), Independent Contractor

Working hours: Flexible with occasional meetings with some of the team members

Salary Range: TBD, depending on experience and with the right candidate

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From Php300.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week
