Role Description

This is a contract remote role for a UI/UX Designer. We’re looking for a UI/UX Designer who genuinely thinks from the user’s perspective and can translate real user problems into clean, intuitive, and visually polished interfaces. You’ll work closely with product and engineering to shape experiences that feel simple, smooth, and meaningful.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct user research, interviews, competitive analysis, and convert insights into actionable design decisions.
• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs for web and mobile.
• Build clean, modern, consistent, and accessibility-friendly interfaces.
• Work closely with product, frontend, and backend teams to ensure implementation matches design intent.
• Run usability tests, gather feedback, and continuously refine designs based on real user behavior.
• Own design systems, component libraries, and maintain visual consistency across the product.
• Present ideas clearly to stakeholders and back decisions with reasoning, not just aesthetics.
• Advocate for user needs throughout the product development cycle.

Required Skills

• 3–6+ years of experience in UI/UX Design or Product Design.
• Strong understanding of UX fundamentals: research, personas, journeys, prototyping, testing.
• High proficiency with design tools like Figma (components, auto-layout, prototyping).
• Ability to design responsive layouts for web and mobile.
• Solid grasp of visual design: typography, spacing, color, hierarchy, grids.
• Experience converting complex workflows into simple, intuitive interfaces.
• Portfolio that clearly shows user-centered thinking and polished visual design.

Good to Have

• Experience designing dashboards, B2B SaaS products, or multi-step workflows.
• Knowledge of motion design or micro-interactions.
• Familiarity with basic frontend principles for smoother handoff (React/Next.js optional but helpful).
• Understanding of accessibility (WCAG guidelines).
• Comfort with analytics and user behavior tools (Hotjar, Mixpanel, GA).
