About The Role
Okta Customer Acceleration is seeking a skilled UX/UI Designer to join our Knowledge, Online Support, and Communities team. This strategic, high-impact role involves transforming our customer self-service experience across Okta and Auth0 platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a systems-thinking mindset, with a proven track record of creating impactful designs that enhance key business metrics such as case deflection and self-service success. Deep expertise in UX research methods is essential to gather actionable insights that inform design decisions. Experience designing for Salesforce Service and Salesforce Experience Cloud interfaces is a significant advantage. The successful candidate will own the design of our Support Centers and Community platforms, delivering innovative, visually appealing, and highly effective user experiences that meet the needs of technical practitioners and elevate their journey.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design, particularly with complex, strategic projects
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma and a strong understanding of responsive design principles
- Experience leveraging and contributing to design systems for consistency across large-scale products
- Deep domain expertise in designing self-service support portals and online community platforms for technical users
- Strong knowledge of metrics-driven design, including defining success metrics and iterating based on data
- Experience in designing AI-powered tools, generative AI interfaces, or intelligent support systems (preferred)
- Working knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML and CSS to collaborate effectively with development teams
- Exceptional user empathy, with a proven ability to translate complex technical pain points into intuitive solutions
Responsibilities
- Lead UX research initiatives, employing mixed-methods to understand user pain points, needs, and behaviors
- Identify friction points within existing support experiences and develop data-informed strategies for improvement
- Design high-fidelity wireframes, detailed user flows, and interactive prototypes for complex projects, including balancing traditional content with AI-generated responses
- Ensure all design work maintains high fidelity, visual appeal, and consistency with brand standards and design systems
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Content teams to ensure design feasibility and fidelity
- Present and defend design solutions, articulating the rationale behind decisions and how they align with business goals and customer outcomes
- Drive continuous improvement by analyzing performance metrics and user feedback to refine user experiences
- Contribute to strategic discussions around the integration of AI and automation in support platforms
