Medicx is a growing healthtech startup building a platform that connects patients with verified doctors and nurses, making healthcare more accessible and efficient across Africa and beyond. We’ve just launched our landing page and are moving fast toward our MVP.

We’re looking for a UI/UX Designer who’s passionate about design and wants to make an impact by shaping how people experience healthcare technology. This is an equity-based volunteer role (no cash compensation at this stage) with the potential for ownership through our 15% team equity pool.

What you’ll do:

• Collaborate with product and dev team to design mobile and web experiences.

• Create clean, user-friendly interfaces and flows for patients and practitioners.

• Translate product requirements into wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.

• Contribute to design systems and ensure brand consistency.

• Iterate quickly based on feedback from team and potential users.

What we’re looking for:

• Solid UI/UX design skills (Figma/Adobe XD or similar).

• Ability to design with simplicity, clarity, and empathy for users.

• Startup mindset: proactive, collaborative, and able to adapt fast.

• A portfolio or samples of past work (even academic/personal projects welcome).
