Technical Instructional Designer 3

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Technical Instructional Designer 3 for our client in Remote. The main function of a Technical Instructional Designer is to write technical materials, such as equipment materials, appendices, or operating and maintenance instructions. A typical technical writer is responsible for organizing, editing and maintaining technical records and files.
Job Description: General Responsibilities:• Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is to develop internal employee experience tools related to campus experiences and backend tools that support those front-end experiences. The role will consist of collaborating with designers, researchers, program managers, and product managers to gather requirements and translate them into clear, engaging content. The candidate will write UI content, shape product voice and tone, audit terminology, and uphold UX writing and content strategy standards.• Key projects: This role will contribute to the development of AI-focused tools that enhance internal user experiences.
Candidate Requirements• Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain evidence of strategic thinking, understanding of UX design principles, and a broader perspective on user experience.
Hard Skills AssessmentsExpected Dates that Hard Skills Assessments will be scheduled: Candidate submissions are expected by October 8th, with assessments likely to follow shortly after.Hard Skills Assessment Process:The assessment process will include Teams phone interviews without video, in compliance with Microsofts external staff policy. Interviews will be conducted by multiple teams leads.Required Candidate Preparation: Candidates should have a portfolio of writing samples, especially those related to UI/UX content design, prepared prior to the assessment.
Job Responsibilities:Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminologyMaintain records and files of work and revisionsConfer with client to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science or English, journalism, communications5-7 years experience requiredExperience in creating documentation for a technical audienceExcellent writing, editing, and communication skillsAbility to read some programming codeCritical thinking and problem-solving skills
📍 Location: Remote💵 Pay: $55 – $60/hr.
