High-end restomods demand more than good CAD. This Class A Surface Designer role is about perfecting every curve, seam, and shutline of a reimagined Ferrari 355. Youโll take the teamโs design intent and elevate it into production-ready Class A surfaces. Contract runs 1โ3 months, remote-first, with potential for longer-term collaboration.
This Surface Designer role focuses on refining existing CAD into flawless Class A surfaces across interior and exterior components.
- Translate CAD into Class A surfaces using Alias or equivalent
- Develop both exterior and interior surface models to prototype-ready standard
- Ensure visual and geometric continuity across all surfaces
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to align geometry and resolve conflicts
- Deliver complete CAD packages, including continuity checks and validation reports
Weโre looking for a Surface Designer with real expertise in Class A surfacing and a background in sports or luxury automotive programmes.
- 7+ yearsโ experience in automotive Class A surfacing
- Proficiency in Alias (preferred), NX, Rhino, or equivalent
- Portfolio showing exterior and interior surface refinement
- Ability to work independently on high-end design projects
- Able to travel occasionally within the EU
- โฌ400โโฌ450 per day (outside IR35 or equivalent)
- Initial 1โ3 month freelance contract
- Remote-first working with travel for key phases
- Ferrari 355 restomod project with major design scope
- Potential for long-term collaboration on future vehicle programmes
