About The Role
GoodLeap is seeking a
*Senior Staff UX Designer*
to lead and elevate user experience across our digital mortgage platforms. You’ll play a key role in shaping intuitive, user-centered products that align with both customer needs and business goals. This position requires a blend of strategic thinking, hands-on design skills, and cross-functional collaboration.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead Product Design (25%) Own UX design for key product areas, delivering clear, effective solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Drive Research & Insights (20%) Use user feedback, usability testing, and analytics to guide design decisions. Conduct lightweight research to supplement insights when needed.
  • Design Execution (25%) Create high-fidelity designs and interactive prototypes with attention to usability, accessibility, and visual polish.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration (20%) Partner closely with product managers and engineers to ensure design outcomes support roadmap goals and development timelines.
  • Mentorship & Design Advocacy (10%) Promote a user-centered approach across the organization. Mentor junior designers and advocate for design excellence at every stage.

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of experience in UX or product design, ideally in fast-paced, agile environments.
  • Expertise with design tools like Figma, along with strong skills in wireframing, prototyping, and working with design systems.
  • Deep understanding of core UX principles including information architecture, user flows, interaction design, and accessibility.
  • Strong visual design sensibility with attention to detail and hierarchy.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills; able to present design ideas clearly and persuasively to stakeholders.
  • Experience conducting or collaborating on user research and usability testing.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with product managers, engineers, and other designers.
  • A history of mentoring others and contributing to a strong, growth-minded design culture.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Remote position; standard office hours.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods, work at a computer, and participate in virtual meetings.
  • No travel or driving required.
