About the Client
Our client delivers integrated piping and structural design services across semiconductor, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, data center, renewable, and process industries. As their project portfolio expands, they are strengthening their structural capability to support complex steelwork and support systems across high-spec industrial environments.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Piping Designer to lead detailed design packages and support technical excellence across our projects. You will take ownership of piping model development and fabrication detailing across multiple projects, working closely with project managers and technical leads. You will play a key role in ensuring quality, consistency and buildability across all piping
deliverables while operating within a structured remote delivery environment.
What you'll do
- Develop and manage 3D piping models using Plant3D and/or Revit
- Produce detailed fabrication isometrics and spool drawings
- Coordinate piping layouts within multi-disciplinary BIM environments
- Manage LOD 300 → LOD 450 model development
- Ensure clash-free, constructible design output
- Support stress, support and structural coordination requirements
- Participate in remote design reviews and coordination meetings
- Mentor junior designers and apprentices remotely
- Interface with fabrication teams to ensure detailing accuracy
- Contribute to continuous improvement of design standards
What you Bring
- 8+ years’ piping design experience
- Strong experience using Plant3D and/or Revit
- Proven experience producing fabrication-level detailing
- Experience working in high-spec industrial environments
- Strong understanding of piping layouts, supports and installation practices
- Experience coordinating within BIM environments
- Practical understanding of fabrication and installation
- Proactive and solutions-focused
- Comfortable working in a structured remote environment
- Self-motivated with strong time management in a remote setting
Nice to Have
- Experience in semiconductor, pharma, oil & gas, data centre, renewable or process industries
- Exposure to clean utilities or high-purity systems
- Experience working to European project standards
