Shopify UX Designer

Remote - Must be located in NC, SC, VA, or GA

Summary

We are seeking a Shopify UX Designer to help launch a new business vertical while continuing to enhance and support our existing eCommerce site. The ideal candidate will have proven Shopify and eCommerce design experience, a strong eye for user experience, and the ability to create compelling page layouts and product pages within brand guidelines. This role will focus on standing up a new Shopify page that reflects a distinct look and feel from the existing site, ensuring a seamless and engaging user journey without the need for custom development.

Responsibilities

• Design and launch a new Shopify page for a business vertical, ensuring it is fully functional by December.
• Develop page layouts, product pages, and site flows that enhance usability and drive conversions.
• Ensure consistency with brand guidelines while introducing a unique look and feel for the new vertical.
• Support ongoing updates and improvements to existing Shopify site pages after the new launch.
• Collaborate with marketing, brand, and SEO partners to align design with business objectives.
• Optimize designs for usability, accessibility, and conversion across desktop and mobile.
• Conduct design reviews and present concepts, wireframes, and mockups to stakeholders.
• Stay current on Shopify best practices and eCommerce UX trends to recommend improvements.

Qualifications

• Proven Shopify design experience (must be visible in portfolio).
• eCommerce design expertise with a strong understanding of product page layouts and customer journeys.
• Experience in UX design with a portfolio showcasing user-centered solutions.
• Strong proficiency in design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
• Ability to design and implement within Shopify without custom coding.
• Knowledge of responsive design and mobile-first best practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage deadlines independently and deliver a fully functional page on time.

Contract Talent The salary range for this position is 55/hr to 60/hr. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
