Service Designer (Freelance)

We are looking for a skilled
Service Designer
to help us analyze, design, and improve services and user experiences across digital and operational environments. The role involves mapping existing journeys, identifying gaps, designing service blueprints, and collaborating with teams to enhance efficiency, usability, and impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and map current service processes, touchpoints, and user journeys.
  • Identify pain points and opportunities for improving the customer experience.
  • Design and develop end-to-end service blueprints linking frontstage and backstage operations.
  • Conduct qualitative research and stakeholder interviews to gather insights.
  • Facilitate workshops using design thinking and co-creation methods.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (strategy, UX, operations, and development).
  • Visualize and document service flows, concepts, and recommendations.
  • Support implementation and continuous improvement of designed services.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Service Design, Experience Design, or CX Strategy .
  • Strong understanding of journey mapping, process design, and human-centered design .
  • Proficiency with design tools such as Miro, Figma, Lucidchart, or Smaply .
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely while managing priorities effectively.
  • Experience in consulting, government, or transformation projects is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Service Design, Interaction Design, UX, or a related field .
