Senior WordPress Designer & Artistic Lead (Volunteer – Remote, Part-Time)

About the Role
We’re building a complex, highly artistic WordPress website for neurodivergent youth (ADHD Autism). This is a design-led, visually immersive project, "a chance to create something unique and portfolio-worthy." crafting the overall aesthetic, style, and artistic vision.
Important: This is a team-based volunteer project. We are looking for designers who can collaborate, communicate clearly, and accept feedback, even if you are used to working independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead visual design and artistic direction for the WordPress site
- Build and style pages directly in WordPress
- Create layouts, typography, colors, imagery, and backgrounds to form a cohesive, sensory-friendly experience
- Collaborate with developers and content volunteers to implement designs accurately
- Provide creative, outside-the-box solutions for a highly artistic site
Ideal Candidate
- Extremely experienced WordPress designer (able to build full pages independently)
- Strong artistic and visual design sense
- Experienced with accessibility and sensory-friendly design principles
- Open to feedback and collaboration
- Reliable and able to commit minimum 4 hours/week
