POSITION SUMMARY

The Sr. Product Designer role is key to our growing team.

In this role you will lead the design of exciting, lovable new products and help the team bring them into neighbors’ (customer) hands through agile and iterative methods. This includes driving the thinking behind the designs and executing on the details to deliver a best-in-class experience. You will work closely with product managers, designers, engineers, marketers and more to transform visionary ideas into products & experiences that delight neighbors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Neighbor obsessed and a role model for working backwards from the neighbor.

· Effectively advocates and designs for the neighbor through objective data such as market analysis, neighbor insights, technical constraints/opportunities

· Takes responsibility for the overall end-to-end user experience from big picture to the specific micro interactions.

· Quickly and thoroughly creates user flows, wireframes, visual design and prototypes to effectively conceptualize and communicate detailed interaction behaviors that support decision making and development.

· Designs interactive experiences with beautiful interfaces and engaging motion.

· Envisions and brings to life intuitive, scalable, and engaging interactions and experiences by leveraging best practices and innovating where needed.

· Establishes design guidelines, best practices and standards, leveraging up-to-date and emerging design patterns and trends.

· Drives consistent design language across the product(s) by maintaining consistency in visual elements and behaviors.

· Partners closely with product and engineering to plan and balance immediate requirements with long-term, scalable solutions

· Assesses and optimizes the effectiveness of new and existing features by proactively planning, performing, and advocating validation techniques like usability testing, user research, and interpreting analytical data.

· Presents design work clearly and effectively to partners, cross-disciplinary teams, and executive leaders.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· 8+ years relevant experience working in this or a related field

· Bachelor’s Degree in a related field

· Proven experience designing and shipping interactive consumer tech products.

· Proven experience designing interfaces and interactions with rich motion and visuals.

· Strong passion for working backwards from the neighbor (customer) to create loveable products.

· Experiencing in inventing, designing, and launching v1 products at large scale (millions of users).

· Experience partnering with engineering, design, marketing, and operations teams.
