Overview:We are770.4+585 looking for qualified professional specializes in a combination UX, Content Strategy, LMS and Information Architecture expertise to build City Colleges of Chicago’s inaugural performance excellence platform and learning assets. The initial engagement is expected to extend through March 2025 with an optional renewal.
Multi-Modal Learning Content Development:Design, develop, and deliver interactive and engaging multi-modal learning materials (e.g., e-learning modules, videos, playbooks, and instructor-led content) that are aligned to client's performance competencies and performance management processes such as goal setting and providing ongoing feedback. Multi-modal content should meet the needs of diverse learning styles, preferences, and skill levels.Utilize various tools and platforms (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, video production software, and other tools provided by the Online Learning team and/or IT) to create dynamic and engaging learning experiences.Develop clear, concise, and learner-centered instructional materials, ensuring content is aligned with the institution’s performance competencies.Developing train-the-trainer guides materials and guides district-wide collaborators who will facilitate instructor-led or guided training.Co-design change management communications and resources with Institutional Excellence, Human Resources, and MarCom teams to enhance staff adoption of performance-focused training tools and supplemental performance management system learning aides.Produce a range of multimodal learning assets. These assets will include a mix of videos, microlearning courses, and long-form courses aligned to the six 12 performance competencies, and other complementary topics. Complementary topics may include, but are not limited to, positive accountability, giving and receiving feedback, and effective management skills.
Technical ExpertiseMaster’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related fieldProven experience (5+ years) designing and developing multi-modal learning content.Strong technical proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and content development tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, etc.).Experience using data and analytics tools to assess learning effectiveness and program impact.Strong experience developing and documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for LMS and learning content management.Candidates will be required to provide sample work along with a project plan.
