Senior HTML / CSS / Bootstrap Designer

RFPMart LLC is inviting senior-level UI / Frontend Designers from India with strong expertise in HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and design systems to apply.

We evaluate senior designers based on actual design implementation, consistency, accessibility, and system thinking, not resumes alone. This role is ideal for designers who can translate design standards into clean, scalable, and accessible front-end code.

Step 2: Understand the Design System

Candidates are expected to understand:

• USWDS design principles and layout system
• Responsive layouts using Bootstrap
• Typography, spacing, and component consistency
• Accessibility and usability best practices
• Cross-browser and responsive behavior

Step 3: Make Meaningful Design Contributions

Senior designers should focus on quality, polish, and reusability, such as:

• UI layout improvements using USWDS + Bootstrap
• Component redesign or refinement
• Mobile-first and responsive enhancements
• Accessibility improvements (contrast, focus states, semantics)
• CSS refactoring and cleanup
• Creation of reusable UI patterns or components
• Improving overall visual consistency and usability

Step 4: Publish Your Work

• Push your changes to your own GitHub account
• Deploy a live demo using GitHub Pages (github.io)

Selection Criteria

Candidates will be evaluated based on:

• Quality, cleanliness, and structure of HTML & CSS
• Proper and efficient use of Bootstrap
• Adherence to USWDS design standards
• Accessibility awareness (WCAG, semantic HTML)
• Visual consistency and attention to detail
• Ability to improve existing UI without overengineering
• Senior-level judgment in design and layout decisions

Ideal Profile (Senior Designer)

• Strong experience in HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap
• Experience working with design systems (USWDS preferred)
• Strong understanding of responsive and mobile-first design
• Accessibility-conscious UI development
• Experience refactoring legacy CSS
• Ability to translate requirements into a clean UI
• Open-source contribution mindset
• Interest in GovTech or public-sector platforms
