For our client, we are seeking a Senior Designer Technologist Design Systems to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will partner with engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a technology-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $168,000 – $177,500 annually

Responsibilities

• Own and enhance core system infrastructure, publishing workflows, and component environments
• Advance token workflows and theming strategies for reliable UI distribution
• Minimize design-to-code drift by improving feedback loops and workflows
• Contribute to scalable component implementations with a focus on accessibility and consistency
• Develop internal tools for efficient delivery, including generators and CI checks
• Structure and model system guidance for in-tool support and automation
• Measure and iterate on system adoption and tooling based on user feedback
• Leverage AI workflows for audits and accelerated task completion with quality checks

Qualifications

• 6+ years in product design/front-end engineering with proven design system delivery
• Portfolio showcasing design systems expertise across components and platforms; link required
• Advanced skills in TypeScript/JavaScript with React or a similar framework
• Experience building internal tools like Figma plugins with a focus on maintainability
• Proficient in Figma for system architecture, versioning, and library structures
• Strong grasp of design tokens and their practical application in UI design
• Demonstrated ability to tackle component UX including accessibility concerns
