Position Summary

The Senior Designer plays a key role in developing trend-right, consumer-focused products for Beacon Craft’s client and internal brand programs. This position combines strong creative vision and innovative thinking with technical precision, bringing concepts from trend research through production-ready specifications. The Senior Designer also acts as a resource and mentor to junior design staff, supporting workflow efficiency, team culture, and cross-functional collaboration.

Technical Proficiency

  • Required: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop
  • Preferred: Adobe InDesign or other Adobe Creative Suite programs
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Word
  • Monday.com or other project management tools (preferred)

Trend Research & Concept Development

  • Interpret trend direction into commercially viable product concepts.
  • Create mood boards that clearly communicate the design vision, incorporating cohesive color, material, finish (CMF), and iconography.
  • Conduct ongoing trend research through:
  • Comp Shopping
  • Retail and e-commerce monitoring
  • Social media, product reviews, blogs, and other consumer insight channels
  • Maintain awareness of client brand positioning and competitive landscape.

Surface Art & Graphic Design

  • Create original artwork aligned to trend and product needs, including:
  • Icon design
  • Repeat patterns
  • Hand lettering/typography
  • CMF palettes and direction

Product Design & Technical Specifications

  • Translate both client-provided and internal Product Development Briefs (PDBs) into trend-right designs that meet manufacturing requirements.
  • Develop accurate, production-ready technical specs, product flats, and mockups.
  • Prepare presentation-ready materials, such as:
  • White Box Plan-o-grams (POGs)
  • Fixture mockups
  • End-product renderings and mockups

Design Leadership & Team Contribution

  • Act as a creative resource and mentor for junior designers, providing guidance and constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to workflow efficiency by identifying and sharing process improvements.
  • Uphold and foster a collaborative, positive team culture.
  • Represent the design department professionally in cross-functional meetings and vendor communications.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
