– a nationally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides bullet- and stab-protective vests and other life-saving equipment to police K9s across the U.S. – is seeking a
creative, detail-oriented Graphic Designer
with
basic WordPress experience
to join our remote team.

About the Role:

This is a remote 1099 contractor position for U.S.-based applicants only.

Hours fluctuate weekly (typically 8–12 hours on average), depending on project needs. Compensation is based on experience. A clean background is required as we do run background checks on possible candidates.

Candidates must be prepared to submit samples of previous graphic design work. While fully remote, applicants in Mid- to East-Coast time zones are preferred to align with our team’s schedule.

What You’ll Do:

As our Graphic Designer, you’ll help tell the incredible stories of the K9 heroes we serve — through powerful visuals and cohesive branding that inspire action and honor service.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing print and social media ads that drive engagement and awareness
• Updating the website using established SOPs ( WordPress – no coding required )
• Creating and editing newsletters, handler interviews, and campaign graphics
• Managing online fundraising campaigns (e.g., Fallen K9 Heroes , Annual Calendar )
• Designing promotional items, swag, and monthly social media cover photos
• Editing and preparing images for print and digital use (especially our annual K9 calendar)
• Participating in monthly remote team meetings and regular team communications

What We’re Looking For:

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat)
• Experience with Canva is a plus!
• Experience with WordPress , Google Workspace , and Dropbox
• Strong eye for design, branding, and visual storytelling
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with precision
• Understanding of social media and print ad design best practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Self-motivated, dependable, and solution-oriented — able to work independently while contributing to a team mission
