As we scale our operations and prepare for a new wave of product launches, we’re seeking a Product Design Engineer with strong CAD expertise to join our core team. This role will shape the next generation of our vehicles by transforming ideas into beautifully engineered, manufacturable components and systems.
Position Overview:
The Product Design Engineer will play a pivotal role in the design and development of our electric two-wheel platforms. You’ll be responsible for creating and refining mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using SolidWorks and Fusion 360, collaborating closely with our design and engineering teams to bring concepts to life.
From frame geometry and structural components to enclosures and mounts, your work will directly impact how our products look, feel, and perform. This is a fully remote position, ideal for someone passionate about electric mobility who thrives on solving complex mechanical challenges and building premium products.
Key Responsibilities:
3D Modeling & Mechanical Design
Design and develop mechanical parts and assemblies for electric bikes and lightweight electric motorcycles.Create 3D CAD models and detailed technical drawings in SolidWorks and Fusion 360.Collaborate with the VP of Design and R&D teams to iterate on prototypes and production-ready components.Ensure designs meet structural, aesthetic, and manufacturability requirements.Contribute to the continuous improvement of frame geometry, suspension integration, battery enclosures, and drivetrain systems.
Collaboration & Product Development
Work cross-functionally with electrical, industrial design, and manufacturing teams.Participate in design reviews and provide input on materials, tolerances, and assembly methods.Support suppliers and manufacturing partners by preparing clear documentation and communicating technical details.Assist in rapid prototyping and testing new concepts prior to production.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in mechanical or product design — ideally in the transportation or two-wheel mobility sector (e-bikes, motorcycles, scooters, etc.).Proficiency in SolidWorks and Fusion 360 is required.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including CNC machining, casting, and injection molding.Knowledge of mechanical systems relevant to two-wheel vehicles (frames, suspension, drive systems) is highly preferred.Experience collaborating with overseas manufacturers is a plus.Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Schedule & Working Hours:
Fully remote positionFlexible schedule, with availability for team meetings in CST (Austin, TX), HKT (Hong Kong, China), and AEST (Australia) time zones.Occasional travel for prototyping, testing, or supplier visits may be required.
