SniPet is revolutionizing pet care in Mexico by building the first comprehensive pet health and services ecosystem. We're bridging the gap between pet health tracking and professional pet services through two interconnected mobile applications:

SniPet
helps pet owners track their pets' health data, monitor wellness scores backed by veterinary research, and easily book services from trusted local providers.

SniPet Pro
empowers veterinarians, groomers, and pet hotels to manage their operations efficiently, accept bookings seamlessly, and deliver better care through data-driven insights.

We're in an exciting growth phase—SniPet for pet owners is already live, and we're preparing to launch SniPet Pro with our Founding Partners program. Mexico has one of the highest pet ownership rates globally, yet there's a massive gap in how we care for our pets compared to ourselves. We're changing that.

Built with modern technology and designed specifically for the Mexican market, we're creating network effects between pet owners and service providers that will transform the industry.

The Role

We're looking for a
Product Designer
who will be instrumental in shaping the visual and interaction design of both SniPet applications.

This is a high-impact role where your design decisions will directly influence product-market fit, user adoption, and business growth. You'll have the creative freedom to establish design standards while also getting your hands dirty with execution.

Responsibilities

Product Design & Strategy

• Lead the end-to-end design process for both SniPet and SniPet Pro applications, from concept through implementation and iteration
• Design adaptive, mobile-first interfaces that work seamlessly across mobile, tablet, and web platforms
• Create intuitive user flows for complex features including health tracking systems, booking experiences, and WhatsApp integration

User-Centered Design

• Conduct user research to understand the needs of Mexican pet owners, veterinarians, and pet service providers
• Create user personas, journey maps, and other artifacts that inform product decisions
• Design localized experiences that resonate with Mexican users' communication preferences and behaviors

Collaboration & Execution

• Partner closely with Flutter developers to ensure smooth handoff and pixel-perfect implementation
• Create detailed design specifications and documentation that facilitate efficient developer workflows
• Work with the founding team to translate business requirements into elegant design solutions

Required Skills & Qualities

Design Expertise

• 3+ years of product design experience, preferably with mobile-first applications
• Portfolio demonstrating responsive design across multiple platforms (mobile, tablet, web)
• Proficiency in Figma, including component libraries, variants, and prototyping
• Understanding of iOS and Android design patterns and platform-specific guidelines
• Experience designing for developer handoff with clear specifications and documentation

Technical Understanding

• Familiarity with cross-platform development constraints (Flutter experience is a strong plus)
• Understanding of technical feasibility and ability to work within technical constraints
• Experience with design systems and component-based design approaches
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices

Product & Business Acumen

• Proven ability to balance user needs with business objectives
• Experience with marketplace, booking, or health tech products (strong preference)
• Understanding of freemium business models and designing for conversion

Nice to Have

• Strong interest in designing conversational or AI-powered interfaces
• Knowledge of pet care industry or passion for animal wellness

What We Offer

Compensation

• Salary Range: $30,000 - $40,000 MXN per month (RESICO)
