Multimedia Editor & Motion Designer

About Kurieta

Kurieta is a full-service digital agency and consulting firm based in Indianapolis, founded in 2015. We help businesses grow through branding, website development, digital marketing, custom software, and management consulting. From startups to established companies, we work closely with our clients to deliver customized solutions that drive real results. Our name means "creator" in Japanese, and that spirit of creation drives everything we do.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented and versatile Multimedia Editor & Motion Designer to join our team full-time on a remote basis. You will be responsible for editing podcast episodes, creating short-form promotional clips, producing motion graphics and software walkthroughs with voiceover, and editing professional video shoots. This is a hands-on creative role where you will own the full post-production pipeline — from raw footage to polished, publish-ready content.

The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about storytelling, has a keen eye for pacing and visual quality, and can work independently while meeting deadlines. You should be equally comfortable cutting a long-form podcast episode as you are creating punchy social media clips or animating screen recordings into engaging explainer videos.

Responsibilities

  • Edit full-length podcast episodes (audio and video), including multi-camera syncing, audio cleanup, adding intros/outros, lower thirds, and graphics.
  • Create short-form clips and highlight reels from podcast and video content optimized for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
  • Produce motion graphics and animated screen recordings — for example, turning software demos and walkthroughs into polished videos with voiceover, callouts, zoom effects, and transitions.
  • Edit professional video shoots including interviews, talking heads, B-roll assemblies, product videos, and promotional content.
  • Design and animate simple visual assets such as lower thirds, title cards, end screens, thumbnails, and branded templates.
  • Colour correct and colour grade footage to ensure a consistent, professional look across all content.
  • Sync and mix audio, remove background noise, normalize levels, and ensure broadcast-quality sound.
  • Manage and organize raw footage, project files, and assets in a structured and accessible way.
  • Collaborate with the team on creative direction, storyboarding, and content planning.
  • Deliver content on schedule, often managing multiple projects with overlapping timelines.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional video editing experience with a strong portfolio showcasing podcast editing, motion graphics, and video shoot editing.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects (required). Familiarity with DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools is a plus.
  • Strong motion graphics skills — ability to animate text, icons, screen recordings, UI elements, and create visually engaging explainer-style videos.
  • Experience editing podcasts or long-form interview/conversation content with multiple camera angles.
  • Solid understanding of audio editing and mixing, including noise reduction, EQ, and levelling (Adobe Audition, Audacity, or similar).
  • Ability to create short-form, scroll-stopping social media clips with captions, dynamic text, and engaging transitions.
  • Good eye for colour grading, pacing, and visual storytelling.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a capable editing workstation.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to take feedback constructively, and a proactive, self-motivated work ethic.
  • Comfortable working in a remote environment across time zones with async communication tools (Slack, Notion, Google Drive, etc.).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Cinema 4D, Blender, or other 3D tools for basic 3D motion graphics.
  • Knowledge of YouTube SEO, thumbnail design, and platform-specific best practices.
  • Experience creating animated infographics or data visualization videos.
  • Background in sound design or music selection for video content.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and remote team workflows.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual salary: ₹4,50,000 – ₹8,50,000 depending on experience and skill level.
  • Fully remote position — work from anywhere in India.
  • Paid time off and public holidays.
  • Opportunity to work on diverse, creative projects across multiple content formats.
  • Room for growth as the content operation scales.

How to Apply

Submit your application with the following:

  • Your updated resume/CV.
  • A portfolio or showreel link demonstrating your work across podcast editing, motion graphics, short-form clips, and video shoot editing.
  • A brief cover note explaining why you’re a great fit for this role and your availability to start.

We look forward to seeing your creative work!
