Motion Graphics Designer (Apple Motion)

We’re building a multi-channel media company under the Midas Media brand, and are looking for a
motion graphics designer
to create a
scalable motion system built specifically for Final Cut Pro
.

This is not a typical freelance role.

We are not looking for one-off animations.

We are building a
complete, reusable motion graphics system
that integrates directly into our editing workflow.

The Role

Your responsibility is to design and deliver a
modular motion graphics library using Apple Motion
, fully optimized for Final Cut Pro.

This system will be used across:

  • YouTube (Tech, Gaming, Fitness)
  • Short-form content (Reels, TikTok, Shorts)
  • Future digital products

The goal is to create
plug-and-play templates
that editors can use instantly without needing to rebuild assets.

What You’ll Be Creating

Core System (Used in Every Video)

  • Title cards and section dividers
  • Lower thirds (names, products, key points)
  • Text emphasis animations (clean, minimal, fast)

Tech / Gaming System

  • Spec cards (FPS, latency, battery, pricing)
  • Comparison layouts (A vs B, pros/cons)
  • UI-style overlays (device frames, highlights, callouts)

Fitness / Performance System

This is a major part of our brand and requires a dedicated motion system.

You will design motion graphics for:

  • Follow-along workouts
  • Timed training sessions
  • Performance tracking

Including:

  • Exercise name overlays
  • Rep counters / timers (countdown + interval)
  • Set progress indicators
  • Workout progress bars
  • Rest timers
  • “Next exercise” transitions
  • Minimal on-screen cues for form guidance

These must be:

  • Extremely clear and readable
  • Fast to update for different workouts
  • Designed for real-time follow-along usability

Data Visualization Elements

  • Performance bars
  • Network/connection indicators
  • Simple visual feedback systems

Transitions

  • Clean, subtle transitions

Deliverables

All assets must be delivered as:

  • Apple Motion templates (.moti, .motn, .motr)
  • Fully organized and labeled files
  • Installed and tested inside Final Cut Pro

Each template must include
exposed parameters
so editors can easily adjust:

  • Text (titles, labels, values)
  • Colors (primary, secondary, accent)
  • Layout (position, scale, alignment)
  • Toggles (show/hide elements, variations)

Editors should be able to use everything
directly inside Final Cut Pro without additional software
.

Style Direction

We want:

  • Clean
  • Premium
  • Functional

Reference direction:

  • Apple product visuals
  • High-end UI motion
  • Clean tech content (information-first, not effect-heavy)

What We’re Looking For

You are someone who:

  • Has strong experience with Apple Motion and Final Cut Pro workflows
  • Thinks in systems, not one-off designs
  • Understands how to build reusable templates for teams
  • Prioritizes clarity, speed, and consistency
  • Can design motion that enhances content without distracting

This Role Is NOT For

  • After Effects-only designers who cannot deliver Final Cut–ready templates
  • Editors who “also do motion” but lack system-level thinking
  • Designers focused on flashy or over-animated styles

Engagement Structure

Phase 1:

  • Project-based engagement focused on building the full motion graphics system.

Phase 2 (Optional):

  • Ongoing support for new templates, updates, or refinements on a need basis only . This is not a fixed retainer and will be scoped per request.

Ownership & Usage

All work created will be:

  • Fully owned by our company
  • Exclusive to our internal team
  • Not resold, reused, or redistributed
