Marketing Designer - Events

This role is responsible for driving the visual and creative direction of high-impact events, from large conferences and trade shows to internal summits and virtual launches. You will craft immersive visual experiences that convey messaging effectively while elevating brand identity, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, and design. The position requires hands-on design execution across physical and digital formats, including stage visuals, motion graphics, digital assets, and promotional materials. You will manage timelines, feedback, and project delivery while ensuring consistency with brand guidelines. This role is ideal for a designer who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments, is comfortable pushing creative boundaries, and enjoys shaping memorable experiences that resonate with audiences.

Accountabilities

  • Lead the visual direction and design execution for internal and external events, including booths, summits, product launches, and meetups
  • Create assets across physical and digital media: signage, backdrops, swag, slides, motion graphics, social content, and promotional materials
  • Collaborate with event producers, marketing teams, and fellow designers to align on messaging and creative vision
  • Translate technical or complex themes into compelling visual stories and experiences
  • Develop illustration and motion styles to elevate the brand and engage audiences
  • Manage project timelines, feedback cycles, and delivery in coordination with design operations and event teams
  • Occasionally travel to major events to oversee execution and ensure visual fidelity

Requirements

  • 5+ years of design experience with a portfolio demonstrating event, experiential, or campaign design
  • Expertise in illustration, visual storytelling, typography, layout, and brand expression
  • Experience designing for both physical and digital environments, including event booths, keynote decks, and social assets
  • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, After Effects), and motion design tools
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, including presenting ideas and incorporating feedback
  • Ability to work in distributed/global teams across time zones
  • Comfort with pushing creative boundaries and producing high-impact visual experiences
  • Nice-to-have: experience designing for technical audiences, stage or lighting design, motion/video editing, vendor collaboration, photography, or art direction
