Learning Program Designer (Contract)

Location: Remote

Engagement: Contract, minimum six months

Team: Content Strategy & Publishing

Reports to: Content Leadership

Role Overview

Madecraft is hiring a contract Learning Program Designer to help us rapidly transform our existing course library into structured, multi-course learning programs, often referred to as specializations, for global publishing partners.

This is a high-output, execution-focused role. You will work within defined partner frameworks to take existing Madecraft courses and build cohesive, multi-hour learning programs that include structured sequencing, applied learning, assessments, and platform-ready components.

This is not a blank-slate curriculum role. The source content already exists. Your job is to audit, structure, connect, and operationalize it at scale using repeatable templates and clear instructional judgment.

We are building volume. Speed, clarity, and consistency matter.

Why This Role Matters

This role directly supports Madecraft’s ability to scale its content library into deeper, more valuable learning experiences. Your work will help turn a growing catalog of courses into durable programs that serve learners worldwide and strengthen Madecraft’s partnerships across the global learning ecosystem.

You will play a key role in shaping how our content evolves from individual courses into meaningful, long-term learning journeys.

What You Will Do

Program Build & Execution

  • Audit existing Madecraft courses and assemble them into structured multi-course programs using defined templates.
  • Sequence and connect courses into cohesive learning paths aligned to clear program-level outcomes.
  • Define and refine learning objectives at the program level where needed.
  • Build the connective instructional layer between courses to ensure continuity and clarity.
  • Ensure assessments and activities align tightly to learning objectives and platform requirements.
  • Execute multiple builds simultaneously and deliver consistently on timeline expectations.

Applied Learning & Interactivity

  • Design exercises, quizzes, reflections, and role-based activities that reinforce learning.
  • Use AI tools daily to accelerate drafting, iteration, and content generation.
  • Ensure activities are practical, relevant, and appropriate for a global professional audience.
  • QA your own work carefully for clarity, alignment, and instructional accuracy.

Scale & Process Optimization

  • Work inside structured templates and partner-defined frameworks.
  • Identify repeatable patterns and reusable components across programs.
  • Help refine internal standards, naming conventions, and build workflows for speed and consistency.
  • Balance instructional rigor with production velocity.

Data & Iteration

  • Review available performance data and learner signals to refine program structure over time.
  • Identify friction points in sequencing, pacing, or assessment design.
  • Recommend practical adjustments that improve engagement without slowing production.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with content leadership and publishing stakeholders.
  • Translate partner requirements into clear instructional decisions.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively in a distributed, remote environment.

What Success Looks Like

  • Specializations are built quickly, consistently, and within partner frameworks.
  • Programs feel cohesive, structured, and outcome-driven rather than loosely bundled.
  • Applied learning elements are meaningful but efficient to produce.
  • Development timelines are predictable and scalable.
  • Internal teams trust your ability to execute independently and accurately.

Experience & Skills

  • Strong background in instructional design, curriculum development, or learning experience design.
  • Demonstrated experience building online learning programs or multi-course curricula at speed.
  • Experience working in EdTech, L&D, or professional learning environments.
  • Comfortable working within structured templates and platform constraints.
  • Strong assessment-writing and applied learning design skills.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Fast, clear writer who can manage high production volume.
  • Comfortable using AI tools as part of daily workflow.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret engagement data pragmatically.
  • Ability to work independently and move work forward without constant oversight.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with licensed or large content libraries.
  • Familiarity with learning platforms and specialization-style program structures.
  • Experience working with international teams or publishing partners.
  • Experience building repeatable instructional systems, not just one-off programs.
