Berlitz Mexico is currently seeking a Learning Experience Designer (LXD)

The Learning Experience Designer (LXD) will support the development of language and cultural learning content across a variety of delivery formats for all Berlitz markets worldwide. They will join the Learning Experience (LX) team of the Global Learning Products (GLP) department, a diverse, global-minded group that is responsible for delivering learning solutions that satisfy the needs of internal and external customers. In this position, they will act as an SME on all things related to pedagogy, as well as play a crucial role in creating high-quality, innovative instructional content by handling a variety of editorial tasks.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Native-like fluency in English
  • Strong command of another language
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as English, foreign languages, teaching, or instructional design 3+ years’ professional experience developing e-Learning
  • Experience working within an intercultural team

Required

  • Degree in pedagogy CEFR, and ELL/SLA
  • Sound knowledge of different instructional methods, learning preferences, and formats (e.g., face-to-face, live online, blended, online asynchronous/self-study)
  • Sound knowledge of contemporary e-learning instructional design (e.g., microlearning, gamification, storytelling, social engagement, etc.)
  • High proficiency with standard collaborative software such as Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft OneDrive, and Google Suite
  • Familiarity with common e-learning authoring tools (Articulate 365, Adobe Captivate, etc.)
  • Comfort learning and using new technologies
  • Innovative mindset with a solutions-oriented attitude and passion for problem solving
  • Excellent eye for minute details and consistency
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent sense of priority and ability to juggle multiple tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and agile work environment
  • Ability to work independently, as well as on a diverse, global team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skills, notably the ability to adapt communication styles and workflows for diverse audiences, proficiency levels, and objectives
  • Proficient in delivering constructive feedback

Preferred

  • Knowledge of multimedia editing tools (Adobe Creative Cloud, Camtasia, etc.)
  • Familiarity with generative AI and prompt engineering, particularly in the context of education
  • Knowledge of basic HTML, CSS
  • Familiarity with principles of UX and UI design
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (Totara, Moodle, Canvas, etc.)
  • Ability to perform research and data analysis

Working Relationships

  • Report to Senior Manager of Learning Experience
  • Interact directly with all members of the Learning Experience team
  • Communicate with, train, and provide feedback to partners, vendors, and freelancers
  • Collaborating with the Product Management team
  • Engage regularly with other members of the Global Learning Products department
