About the Job

Better Digital is looking for a part-time UX / Interactive Designer (20 hours per week) to help us design clean, intuitive, and scalable digital experiences across client projects and internal tools. This role is ideal for someone who loves bringing structure to design — building responsive components, shaping user flows, and translating complex ideas into simple, elegant interactions.

You’ll work closely with our internal team to create thoughtful UX and UI solutions that feel consistent, usable, and easy to maintain. You’ll also contribute to the design of a custom internal software tool, helping define workflows and interactions that support how our team works every day. We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, collaborative, and driven to make digital experiences better.

What You’ll Do

• Design responsive components, layouts, and interactive flows in Figma.
• Create and maintain scalable design systems and reusable component libraries.
• Translate requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
• Lead UX thinking for an internal software tool — mapping workflows, identifying friction points, and shaping user journeys.
• Collaborate with our internal team to ensure designs align with technical and business needs.
• Keep Figma files organized, structured, and easy for cross-functional teams to navigate.
• Present work clearly, incorporating feedback and iterating with intention.

What You Bring

• 4+ years of UX, product, or interactive design experience.
• Strong portfolio showing responsive web design, component systems, and user flow expertise.
• Deep experience with Figma — autolayout, variants, prototyping, design systems, and responsive behaviors.
• Ability to take ideas from early concepts to polished execution.
• Comfortable working across teams and supporting technical conversations.
• Clear communication skills and a thoughtful, organized work style.
• A proactive mindset — you take ownership, ask smart questions, and work independently.

Bonus Points

• Experience designing internal tools, dashboards, or workflow-heavy products.
• Exposure to component-based CMS platforms (Adobe AEM, etc.).
• Experience documenting UX decisions, flows, and interaction patterns.

Compensation and Details

• Part-time role (20 hours/week), fully remote.
• Competitive hourly rate in the range of $30–$40/hour USD, depending on experience.
