Junior Graphic Designer

MeMeraki.com is India’s largest culture-tech platform for traditional arts and crafts, working with 500+ master artisans across 300+ art forms to take Indian heritage to global audiences. The platform works at the intersection of technology, cultural storytelling, and commerce to create sustainable livelihoods for artisans while enabling authentic access to handcrafted art worldwide. MeMeraki operates a full-stack ecosystem spanning research and documentation, digital masterclasses, e-commerce, and large-scale cultural installations. Over the past five years, it has paid out ₹7+ crore directly to artisans and partnered with leading institutions including the Ministry of Culture, Google, Adobe, and GMR Hyderabad Airport. About the Role

: We’re looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to join MeMeraki’s design team and support both our consumer-facing digital platform and our B2B / institutional art projects. This role sits at the intersection of design, culture, and storytelling, and involves working closely with the content, marketing, and project teams to translate Indian art and craft narratives into clean, contemporary visual assets.

Assignmen
t: Select any painting from our paintings collection (https://www.memeraki.com/collections/paintings) and show 3-4 different mockups so a viewer can visualise how traditional paintings look in different contemporary home settings

Salary: Rs. 30-35K INR per month

Key ResponsibilitiesWebsite & Digital Design (D2C)

  • Design website banners, landing page sections, collection covers, and campaign creatives for MeMeraki.com
  • Create visual assets for product listings, masterclasses, workshops, and editorial content
  • Adapt artworks into digital-friendly formats while maintaining colour accuracy and cultural context
  • Support UX/UI design needs such as icons, layout elements, and visual hierarchies (in collaboration with the tech team)

B2B & Art Consultancy Projects

  • Design presentation decks, concept boards, moodboards, and visual narratives for client pitches
  • Create artwork visualisations, wall mockups, and scaled layouts for installations, murals, and hospitality projects
  • Develop print-ready files for large-format applications such as wallpapers, panels, signage, and exhibition graphics
  • Assist in creating brand-aligned design systems for institutional and corporate clients

Marketing & Brand Support

  • Design creatives for emailers, newsletters, brochures, and proposal documents
  • Support social media and campaign design as required (static creatives, carousels, basic motion if applicable)
  • Maintain consistency with MeMeraki’s brand guidelines across all outputs

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in graphic design (agency, studio, brand, or startup)
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
  • Good understanding of typography, layout, colour, and print vs digital design requirements
  • Ability to work with high-resolution artwork files and adapt them for different formats and scales
  • Basic understanding of print production processes (bleeds, CMYK, file prep)

Good to Have

  • Exposure to large-format printing , exhibitions, or spatial design projects
  • Familiarity with Figma for digital layouts
  • Interest in Indian art, craft, culture, architecture, or design-led brands
  • Basic motion or video skills (After Effects / Premiere Pro)
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders and timelines
