As a member of the Drafting team within the Energy division, your duties include:
- Preparation of structural 3D models using Autodesk Advance Steel and Intergraph CADWorx Structure software.
- Preparation of design drawings including structural steel, concrete, piling and foundations.
- Bill of materials generation.
- Participate in internal and external 30/60/90 model reviews.
- Responsible for drafting quality control and interface with other disciplines.
- Assist in proposal estimates as it pertains to structural.
- Responsible for keeping up with industry updates and current software, as well as internal processes.
- Ability to assist more junior staff in problem solving and mentoring.
- Contribute to special projects (eg. internal drafting standards) as available or assigned.
- Coordinate and implement design criteria with 3rd party structural Engineers.
- Preparation of mechanical drawings (eg. Plot Plans, PFDs & P&IDs) may be required from time to time as workload dictates.

- Engineering Design and Drafting Diploma or Civil Engineering Technology Diploma.
- Preferred minimum of 5 years of direct and/or related experience.
- Experience with an Engineering firm in oil and gas or energy related industries is essential.
- Experience with incorporating 3D point cloud data into project 3D models would be considered an asset.
- Ability to effectively demonstrate extensive knowledge of CAD design and systems, and industry standards.
- Some working knowledge and/or mechanical experience is considered an asset.
- Autodesk Plant 3D experience is considered an asset.
- Ability to travel to field locations may be required from time to time.
- Ability to mentor less experienced drafting personnel.
- Extensive experience with successful project delivery.
- A designated work space at home with a reliable internet connection.
- Strong analytical skills and comfortable facilitating multiple projects in a demanding environment with a willingness to work a flexible schedule.
