Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and creative Video Editor & Graphic Designer with hands-on experience in editing podcasts, YouTube videos, and brand films. The ideal candidate is fluent in modern editing tools, familiar with AI-powered editing workflows, and passionate about crafting visually engaging content that aligns with brand and campaign goals.
Key Responsibilities1. Podcast & YouTube Editing
- Edit and produce podcast episodes (audio and video versions) for MoniSa’s flagship show Global Voices and similar industry content.
- Edit YouTube videos, integrating dynamic visuals, subtitles, and transitions that enhance viewer retention and storytelling flow.
- Ensure each episode or video maintains consistent brand tone, pacing, and audio-visual quality.
2. Brand & Service Video Production
- Edit corporate and service-related videos, product explainers, and client case study visuals for marketing use.
- Collaborate with the content and design teams to transform scripts or storyboards into engaging brand visuals.
- Repurpose long-form content into short clips, reels, and ad videos optimized for social media and paid campaigns.
3. AI & Creative Tool Integration
- Utilize AI-powered video editing tools (e.g., Descript, Runway, Pika, OpusClip, or Adobe Firefly) to streamline workflows and enhance production quality.
- Apply tools for automatic transcription, captioning, color correction, and noise reduction where applicable.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging AI video trends and tools to continuously innovate in visual storytelling.
4. Technical & Quality Control
- Ensure all videos meet brand quality standards for resolution, sound clarity, and color accuracy.
- Optimize videos for multiple platforms (YouTube, LinkedIn, website, and podcast channels).
- Manage video archives and maintain an organized library of assets for ongoing and future projects.
5. Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with the marketing, podcast, and content teams to align visuals with campaign goals.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative input during pre-production.
- Provide monthly reports on content performance, production timelines, and improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Film Editing, Media Production, Communication, or related field.
- 4 years of professional video editing experience in B2B, corporate, or creative environments.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, or equivalent editing tools.
- Experience with AI-powered tools like Descript, Runway, OpusClip, or Pika Labs.
- Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, sound design, and visual flow.
- Ability to edit for both long-form and short-form formats.
- Familiarity with YouTube SEO basics, video formatting, and aspect ratios for various platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in editing B2B or corporate videos, interviews, and educational content.
- Knowledge of motion graphics, basic animation, or visual effects.
- Familiarity with color grading and audio balancing.
- Experience collaborating with remote teams and cloud-based asset tools (Drive, Frame.io, Notion).
