Graphic Designer & Report Builder

Company Description

EdStrat is a boutique higher education consulting firm. Our work lives at the intersection of institutional strategy, innovation, and regulatory alignment, and we are deeply design forward in how we communicate complex ideas. The deliverables we create, from research briefs to strategic plans to executive reports, prioritize clarity, translate data into insight, and present findings through high quality, visually compelling design.

Much of our early stage design work begins in structured formats such as HTML and CSS based slide frameworks and reusable templates. Those foundations are then translated into polished, brand aligned Canva assets that clients can use and easily adapt. We are looking for a creative partner who can move comfortably between structured code and visual design, preserving logic, hierarchy, and usability along the way. We are looking for someone who enjoys shaping data and ideas into visual stories that bring clarity to complexity.

Role Description

The Graphic Designer and Report Builder is a remote, independent contractor role with a flexible schedule and repeat engagement potential. This individual partners with EdStrat to translate complex research, institutional strategy, and analysis into clear, visually compelling deliverables. The role bridges structured HTML based frameworks and polished design, ensuring narrative flow, analytical intent, and brand consistency are preserved from concept through final presentation.

What You'll Do

Translation
. Translate structured HTML reports and slide frameworks into polished, brand aligned Canva deliverables.

Visualization
. Design infographics and data visualizations that distill complex research into clear, presentation ready materials.

Systems
. Build and maintain reusable Canva assets that reinforce and scale EdStrat’s visual identity.

Workflow
. Create a consistent HTML to Canva process that preserves intent and improves efficiency.

Accountability
. Manage work within scoped hours and flag scope or timeline concerns early.

The Details

Projects are scoped with defined hour allocations. We share brand assets, existing templates, and a clear brief at the start of each engagement. You invoice per deliverable.

We expect this to be a repeat partnership, not a one-time engagement. The more context you build with us, the more efficiently we work together. We value designers who want to own a relationship, not just complete a task.

Hourly rate range of 30 to 60 dollars, determined by project scope and complexity.
