About the role
: The
Graphic Designer
plays a dual-focused role at the intersection of creative design and web development, contributing to both the visual and technical aspects of the company’s digital presence. Working across marketing and IT functions, this position is responsible for creating visually engaging designs, building and maintaining functional websites, and supporting digital marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate blends strong graphic design skills with web development expertise to deliver cohesive, high-impact digital solutions that engage audiences and strengthen brand performance.

What You'll Do

  • Design and develop visually compelling and user-friendly websites that align with our brand's identity and objectives.
  • Create a wide range of digital marketing materials, including web banners, email campaigns, and social media graphics.
  • Ensure website functionality and perform regular updates and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to translate marketing goals into creative design solutions.
  • Optimize web designs for mobile devices and ensure compliance with web accessibility standards.
  • Conduct website testing and troubleshoot any design issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest web design and development trends and technologies to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of the brand's visual identity, ensuring consistency across all digital platforms.

What You Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Web Development, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Strong skills in web development languages, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with PHP or Ruby on Rails.
  • Experience with responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Understanding of SEO principles and their application in web design.
  • Creative thinking with attention to detail in all aspects of design and development.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Preferred: Experience with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress or Joomla, and knowledge of user experience (UX) design principles.

  • The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement.
  • Work from home.
  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (+/- 1 hour accepted) - PST.
