Summary:
The Graphic Designer & Marketing Assistant provides support to the Marketing Department by producing branded creative content for Ponte Winery, Ponte Vineyard Inn, Hawks View Winery, BOTTAIA Winery and future expansions. The Graphic Designer & Marketing Assistant is responsible for assisting with email marketing campaigns, website maintenance, advertising, photography, and preparing creative graphic designs for print and digital for the Ponte properties as well as staying current on trends in the industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create printed and digital marketing materials for the wineries, wine clubs, hotel, weddings, special events, restaurants and bars and additional outlets as needed.
- Create designs and graphics, such as combinations of photographs, charts, data and text, for marketing materials and digital content.
- Work with print vendors to gather estimates and order printed marketing collateral.
- Support accounting by creating purchase orders for approval of all marketing estimates and submit final invoices.
- Support sales by executing all email campaigns through active Campaign for the Ponte properties.
- Schedule professional photography depending on property needs, lead all photo shoots, and distribute final product.
- Make updates to company websites and 3rd party websites.
- Monitor 3rd party websites for guest reviews and comments and assist with responding to reviews and comments.
- Assist with marketing property events.
- Field and assist with charitable contributions.
- Assist with marketing questions via email or follow-up with appropriate departments.
- Organize and maintain a content database of all graphic design photography and print files for the marketing department.
- Determine software applications to be used and maintain applicable computer programs.
- Visualize and execute conceptual ideas within set guidelines.
- Ensure that brand guidelines are adhered to throughout all company materials.
- Remain up to date with advances in social media technology and the latest social media platforms.
- Understand and adhere to the Ponte values and service standards.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of marketing and branding principals.
- High level of proficiency of graphic design programs which may include but isn’t limited to the Adobe Creative Cloud (previously Adobe Creative Suite).
- High level of proficiency of Apple Macintosh computers and software.
- Strong writing, editing and proof-reading skills.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, willingness and desire to learn and grow with the company.
- Proficient understanding of social media marketing and technology.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in fast-paced, busy environment.
- Ability to treat all associates and guests in a respectful courteous manner.
- Exhibits integrity (honesty and truthfulness).
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
Education:
- Associate’s degree and two years of graphic design experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
