One of our top clients, a well-established company driving digital transformation in one of Japan’s core industries, is currently looking for a
Service Designer
to join their new global digital initiative.

In this role, you will help design innovative digital services that will impact both the Japanese market and the company’s global expansion.

This is a rare opportunity to work closely with global technology leadership and play a key role in shaping the future of the industry.

Position Overview

You will be responsible for designing the entire service experience from both a user experience perspective and a back-office operations perspective.

By connecting business objectives with user needs, you will:

  • Derive insights through research
  • Visualize service concepts
  • Develop prototypes
  • Conduct user testing
  • Iterate and refine solutions

You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure effective and consistent service delivery across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

User Research & Insight Development

  • Conduct interviews, surveys, and observational research
  • Analyze user behavior and needs
  • Identify pain points and uncover insights
  • Create customer journey maps
  • Visualize user experiences and propose improvements

Service Blueprint Development

  • Analyze stakeholder roles and relationships
  • Visualize service-related operational processes
  • Propose improvements to optimize service delivery processes

Prototyping & User Testing

  • Develop service prototypes
  • Conduct user testing
  • Evaluate feedback and iterate improvements
  • Facilitate workshops
  • Apply design thinking methodologies
  • Promote ideation and collaborative discussions

To accelerate this transformation, the company has recently appointed a new global CTO and CIO, refreshing its C-level leadership team and building next-generation digital leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Japanese Business Level N1
  • Knowledge of HCD (Human-Centered Design), Service Design, and UX Design
  • Experience in stakeholder analysis and service blueprint creation
  • Experience creating personas and customer journey maps
  • Experience applying design thinking processes
  • Experience in hypothesis validation
  • Workshop facilitation experience

Employment Type

Full-time (Permanent)

Remote work from regional areas is fully supported.

Compensation

Annual salary up to ¥8,000,000 ~ 12,000,000

Working Conditions

  • Remote work available (Full Remote)
  • Working hours: 9:00 – 17:30 (7.5 hours per day)
  • 60-minute break
  • Flexible working system (Core time: 11:00 – 14:00)
