Freelance Graphic Designer, Social Content Creator, and Marketing Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a talented and creative Graphic Designer and Content Creator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling and a strong understanding of various digital platforms. This role involves producing engaging content that aligns with our brand’s voice and marketing strategies. The Content Writer will collaborate with designers, marketers, and other team members to create compelling narratives that resonate with our audience.

This contract team member will be responsible for creating and managing social media content, including Canva graphics, video designs, and copywriting, for Designs Group Consulting and its clients. He/she will also be responsible for website updates, graphic designs using Canva, digital marketing, photo and video editing, miscellaneous administrative and project tasks assigned by the CEO.

Duties

  • Develop high-quality written content for websites, blogs, social media, and marketing materials, and manage posting schedules.
  • Design social post graphics and videos as well as website elements.
  • Conduct thorough research to produce accurate and informative pieces on various topics.
  • Utilize SEO best practices to optimize content for search engines.
  • Edit and proofread content to maintain clarity, coherence, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to align content strategies with overall business goals.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate relevant insights into content creation.
  • Growth the companies social media pages.
  • Create and manage advertising campaigns on LinkedIn, AdWords, Meta, and AdRoll.

Skills

The ideal candidate should possess a diverse skill set that includes but is not limited to:

  • Proficiency in Canva is a MUST, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for visual content creation.
  • Familiarity with web design principles including HTML, CSS, and GoDaddy Web Builder, Shopify, and Square Space.
  • Experience in digital art and graphic design, including motion graphics and video editing using Canva and Adobe After Effects.
  • Strong understanding of branding concepts and color theory.
  • Knowledge of typography, layout design, and print and digital advertising techniques.
  • Skills in video clip and photo manipulation for enhanced visual storytelling.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) for effective content deployment.
  • Digital advertising via Google AdWords, LinkedIn, Meta, and Adroll.

Deliverables are due at the end of each workday, accompanied by a summary email to the CEO that bullet-points completed tasks and notes any pending items, including concise questions or necessary reviews.

Five years of Marketing Experience and three years of Canva, Social Media Content Creation, Website Design, LinkedIn Advertising, AdWords, and Meta Advertising required. If you do not meet these criteria, please do not submit your application.

Can do attitude—multi-tasking required. Precise, accurate work with care needed, we are not looking for a 'check it done' candidate.

Digital Graphic Design, Web Design, LinkedIn Ads, AdWords, Meta Ads, and Social Content Portfolio required by web link or email to move to the interview stage. We are seeking a left-brain, right-brain artist who aligns with our company's brand, quality, and service standards.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
