Design System Designer

Remote within Spain - must have Spanish residency.

We're on the hunt for a stellar Design System Designer to join our awesome team at Gammaux!

If you’re someone who geeks out over component libraries, loves crafting clear documentation, and believes that a well-structured design system is the foundation of great user experiences, we want to hear from you!

What you'll be doing:

  • Spearheading the development and maintenance of our comprehensive design system.
  • Collaborating with product, engineering, and UX teams to gather requirements and ensure seamless integration.
  • Applying the principles of atomic design to create a robust and modular system.
  • Documenting guidelines, best practices, and component usage for easy adoption.
  • Conducting audits and research to identify areas for improvement and innovation within the design system.
  • Championing design system adoption and best practices across the organization.

What we're looking for:

  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience designing and managing design systems.
  • Proven expertise in atomic design principles and their practical application.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your design system work, ideally with examples from complex environments.
  • Experience working within or for the banking/financial services industry.
  • Excellent understanding of UI/UX principles, interaction design, and visual design.
  • Experience with design tokens and their implementation.
  • Fantastic communication and collaboration skills – you can explain your ideas clearly and work well with others.
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to better understand implementation constraints.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG).
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
