Creative Reel Video Editor & Graphic Designer (Remote / Full-Time)

About the Role

We’re looking for a
Creative Reel Video Editor & Graphic Designer
who can produce high-quality short-form videos and social media creatives for multiple client brands. You’ll work closely with our marketing team to turn ideas into engaging content that drives results.

This role is ideal for someone who is fast, creative, detail-oriented, and understands what performs well on
Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook Reels, and YouTube Shorts
.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit short-form videos (Reels/Shorts) with strong pacing, hooks, captions, transitions, and sound design
  • Create social media designs : posts, stories, carousels, thumbnails, covers, ads, banners
  • Add subtitles (Sinhala/English), motion text, on-screen captions, emojis, and brand-style overlays
  • Improve raw footage using color correction, stabilization, and audio cleanup
  • Repurpose content: turn long videos into multiple short clips
  • Maintain client brand consistency (fonts, colors, mood, luxury vs. fun tone, etc.)
  • Work with the team on content calendars and deliver creatives on time
  • Export videos in platform-ready formats (1080x1920, safe zones, correct codecs)
  • Organize project files, templates, and assets (Google Drive workflow)

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Proven experience in reel editing and social media design (portfolio required)
  • Strong skill in at least one editing tool:
  • Adobe Premiere Pro / After Effects / DaVinci Resolve / CapCut (Pro)
  • Strong design ability using:
  • Canva (must)
    • Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator (bonus)
  • Good understanding of current social trends: hooks, retention, pacing, viral formats
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and take feedback professionally
  • Basic English communication (Sinhala is a plus)

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Motion graphics and templates (After Effects, animated typography)
  • AI tools for creative workflow (e.g., Adobe AI, CapCut AI, subtitle tools, image enhancers)
  • Experience creating ad creatives (Meta / Google display)
  • Basic knowledge of marketing KPIs (CTR, watch time, retention)

What Success Looks Like (First 30–60 Days)

  • Deliver consistent weekly output (reels + designs) with minimal revisions
  • Improve video quality: cleaner cuts, stronger hooks, better captions
  • Maintain brand consistency across multiple clients
  • Meet deadlines and follow the workflow smoothly
