Flax Labs is an e-commerce growth agency hiring a Creative Designer to produce high-performing static ad creatives for Meta paid traffic across multiple Shopify brands.

This role is for someone who can combine:

About The Role

We are looking for a highly performance-driven creative designer who can create scroll-stopping static ads for Meta that drive measurable results.

You will work closely with:

  • Media buyer
  • Strategist
  • Creative Designer
  • Founders

To create ads that improve:

  • Thumbstop rate
  • CTR
  • CPA efficiency
  • ROAS
  • Creative differentiation post-Andromeda
  • Overall account performance

Your success will be measured by creative performance + communication + speed of iteration — not aesthetics alone.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design high-converting static ads for Meta (Facebook + Instagram) for multiple e-commerce brands
  • Understand and execute creative for different funnel stages: TOF (cold acquisition), MOF (retargeting + consideration)
  • Write fluent, high-quality ad headlines for creatives free of grammar or spelling errors
  • Conduct competitor + market research to inform new angles, hooks, and creative direction
  • Develop creative strategy in collaboration with the media buying team
  • Generate and test multiple variations quickly (angles, formats, layouts, messaging)
  • Use AI tools to accelerate creative production: ChatGPT, Nano Banana, Midjourney-style workflows, Image generation + iteration tools
  • Build scalable design systems: Repeatable creative templates, Modular Canva frameworks, Brand-specific ad libraries
  • Maintain extreme attention to brand guidelines. You do not take design liberties that break brand consistency. You execute within the brand’s visual identity precisely
  • Stay current on Meta creative best practices, especially in the post-Andromeda landscape where differentiation is critical
  • Complete revisions according to client feedback

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Proven experience designing Meta ad creatives for e-commerce brands
  • Strong understanding of paid social creative strategy (TOF vs MOF)
  • Fluent written English (you will write ad headlines yourself)
  • High proficiency in Canva is a plus
  • Familiarity with creative testing, iteration, and performance feedback loops
  • Ability to generate and execute new creative angles quickly
  • Comfort using AI tools to speed up asset creation and ideation
  • Strong competitor research instincts
  • Excellent communication, responsiveness, and reliability
  • Presentable set-up for team and client calls
  • Light video editing skills to support video creative as needed
