About The Role
We are seeking a talented Content Designer to join our Product Design organization, supporting the New Verticals segment, which encompasses retail, grocery, and various initiatives impacting both consumer and Dasher experiences. Reporting to a Content Design Manager and working under the guidance of our Head of Content Design, this role involves leading the content strategy and user experience for new product features and initiatives. You will be instrumental in shaping how language and content support our product vision, ensuring clarity, consistency, and engagement across our platforms. Your expertise will help embed technical depth, particularly in AI, automation, and model operations, into content systems, making them scalable and adaptable across different geographies. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams—including product design, management, research, engineering, analytics, and marketing—you will establish and evangelize content standards, contribute to strategic planning, and explore innovative approaches to human-centered content in an AI-driven environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence the future of our marketplace by creating intuitive, scalable, and impactful content experiences that resonate with our diverse user base.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in content design, UX writing, or related fields
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end projects with cohesive storytelling and holistic design
- Excellent systems thinking skills, capable of translating complex concepts into simple, intuitive experiences
- Knowledge of technical constraints and opportunities in AI, automation, and model operations
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong storytelling skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels
- Curiosity about emerging technologies and their impact on user experience and content design
- Experience in building scalable content patterns and frameworks across multiple geographies
- Understanding of UX content standards, brand guidelines, and taxonomy management
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Communications, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead content design efforts for New Verticals products and features, ensuring alignment with product strategy and user needs
- Develop and implement content frameworks, standards, and guidelines to support scalable and consistent language across platforms
- Partner with product teams—including design, management, research, engineering, and marketing—to craft content that enhances user experience and meets business goals
- Embed technical depth into content systems, leveraging AI, automation, and model operations to improve content efficiency and personalization
- Build and maintain scalable content patterns, frameworks, and parity across different regions and markets
- Conduct research and gather insights to inform content strategies, ensuring they are human-centered and innovative in an AI-first context
- Advocate for best practices in content design and contribute to the continuous improvement of content standards
- Collaborate with the content team to support each other's efforts and share knowledge across products
- Monitor and analyze content performance metrics to iterate and enhance content quality and effectiveness
